Jiuhua Mountain One-Day Tour

Stepping onto Mount Jiuhua, stepping into this pure land of Buddhism, I suddenly felt awe and tranquility in my heart. Mount Jiuhua, as the dojo of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, has attracted countless good men and women to come for pilgrimage since ancient times. Standing on the top of the towering mountain, surrounded by clouds and mist, it seems that I am gradually moving away from the secular world, and my mind has become pure and ethereal. Worshiping devoutly in front of the seat of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, I pray that the Bodhisattva will protect all living beings with compassion, so that we can get a moment of peace and relief in the complicated life.

This pilgrimage to Mount Jiuhua is not only for blessing, but also a baptism of the soul. Here, we temporarily put aside the trivialities of daily life and let go of the troubles and sorrows in our hearts one by one. With closed eyes and clasped hands, the incense rises, as if all the anxiety has been purified in this pure land. The compassionate image of the Bodhisattva, looking at all living beings with compassion, seems to tell us: life is impermanent, but inner peace can be achieved through self-cultivation and the improvement of the state of mind.

The pilgrimage to Mount Jiuhua allows us to more deeply understand the meaning of "letting go". In secular life, we often rush for fame, wealth, and achievement, and our hearts are burdened. However, here, the compassionate blessing of the Bodhisattva makes us understand that having a pure heart is the greatest wealth. The troubles, obsessions, and desires of life may be put down in this pure land, and feel a sense of liberation. As the Buddhist teachings say, a pure heart is the Buddha's land. Only when the heart is pure can we obtain true happiness and satisfaction.

On the way to worship, we go up the mountain, layer by layer, and every step seems to be stripping away the distracting thoughts in our hearts. The landscape of Jiuhua Mountain is intoxicating and the Zen is far-reaching. In the embrace of this nature, our hearts are settled, and we seem to hear the whispers of the mountains and rivers and feel the true meaning of Buddhism. Although this trip is short, it has taught us how to face the setbacks and difficulties in life, and understand the importance of letting go and introspection.

The trip to Jiuhua Mountain is not only a pilgrimage, but also a practice. May the compassion and blessing of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva protect us, so that everyone can increase their blessings and wisdom, and be at peace and healthy. I also hope that we can bring this spiritual tranquility back to the world, find our own piece of pure land in the complicated life, and live a simple and peaceful life. #九华山
