The enormous Naga statue at Phu Manorom Temple in Mukdahan Province 🐍 is a breathtaking sight. Known as "Grandfather Sri Mukda," this sculpture depicts a Naga coiled gracefully on a rocky plateau atop a mountain. The statue measures 122 meters in length and 20 meters in height, with its neck elegantly raised, standing out amidst the lush forest and facing the Mekong River. Its greenish-blue hue shimmers beautifully under sunlight, giving it a lifelike appearance. The intricate patterns on its body are exquisitely detailed and truly magnificent.
At the highest point of the temple, you will find the grand Buddha statue "Phra Chao Yai Kaew Mukda Sri Tri Ratana," a seated Buddha in the Mara Vichaya posture. The statue has a width of 39.99 meters and a height of 59.99 meters, with the total height from the base to the top of the head reaching 84 meters. This temple is one of the must-visit destinations in the northeastern region of Thailand, perfect for sightseeing, making merit, and praying for blessings. 🙏🏻
