"Munakata Roadside Station" in Munakata City, Fukuoka Prefecture is a gourmet treasure trove of fresh seafood from the Genkai Sea and Munakata's rich agricultural products. About one-third of the product hall is a seafood section, with a wide selection of seasonal fish delivered from the local fishing port every day🐟. The agricultural products are also lined up with vegetables picked that morning, so you can fully enjoy the local flavors🍆. At the restaurant "Ofukuro Shokudo Hamayu", you can taste fisherman's cuisine and farmer's cuisine made with ingredients from Munakata🍽️
When I actually visited, I was excited by the lively sales floor! There was a wide variety of fresh fish and vegetables, and it was a fun space just to look around. Popular souvenirs include "Munakata Wakamenbei" and "Natural Wakame Dressing," so we recommend bringing home some local flavors 🎁
