Mürren, located on the cliffs of the Lauterbrunnen Valley, is a car-free mountain village at an altitude of 1,638m. Its charms lie in the spectacular view of the three mountains of Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau in front of it, and the laid-back village atmosphere. It is also famous as the access point to the Schilthorn observation deck, which was also the setting for the movie "On Her Majesty's Secret Service."
I entered the village by cable car in the morning, and as I walked along the quiet, deserted road, I was captivated by the grand panorama of the Alps that spread out before me. Whether you're spending a relaxing time with your partner or facing nature alone, it's a luxurious time✨
[Access]
Take the mountain railway from Lauterbrunnen to Grütschalp, then take the cable car to Mürren. Traveling within the village is basically by foot.
[Travel Tips]
✔️The Schilthorn Observatory is recommended as it is open in the morning☀️
✔️Lunch with a spectacular 360-degree view at the panoramic restaurant "Piz Gloria"🍽️
✔️There are plenty of hiking trails for beginners👟
✔️Discounts on mountain railways and ropeways with the Swiss Pass🎫
