Muttrah Souq in Nizwa, Muscat. This market has a history of more than 200 years and is quite famous. Almost every tourist will go there. This is the old town, where winding alleys are filled with a variety of stalls selling antiques, traditional fabrics, spices, etc. In the market, we can also taste the local dates. The sweet taste made us more curious about Omani cuisine. As for Oman, it is the country of frankincense. Frankincense is a plant spice. It is a resin collected from a tree and is a sacred object in many religious ceremonies.
There are many unique Omani handicrafts in the market, and you can take your time to walk around and pick them up. There are many restaurants and beautiful bays nearby, and the market entrance archway is also the gathering point for tour groups.
