Muscat, Encountering the Sunset on a Classic Sailing Ship

Muscat’s sunset makes the scenery more than just simple; it is a dialogue between history and the sea, a tenderness hidden in time by the locals that leaves a lasting impression.
🚤 Marina Bandar — Chase a sea sunset on a traditional dhow
To fully immerse yourself in the sunset, you must try cruising on an Omani traditional single-mast triangular sailboat (Dhow)! The wooden hull carries a faint scent of sandalwood, the boatman offers tea and snacks, and the sea breeze instantly blows away the heat.
🏰 During the journey, you can see three iconic forts up close: besides Mutrah Fort, there are Jalali Fort and Mirani Fort guarding the bay. The sunset gilds these ancient stone buildings with gold edges, as if you can hear the footsteps of soldiers patrolling a century ago.
🌞 When the boat stops in the middle of the sea, the sun just sets on the horizon, and the shimmering sea looks like scattered diamonds. The Omani guy accompanying you hums traditional songs, creating a perfect atmosphere 💛
