[Aichi] Ghibli Park. Relive Childhood Memories

I guess everyone has seen a Hayao Miyazaki animation, right?

From childhood favorites like My Neighbor Totoro, Castle in the Sky, Black Cat's Delivery Service, and Grave of the Fireflies... all the way to adulthood with Ponyo, Howl, and Spirited Away, Hayao Miyazaki's animations have been with us all the way through our childhoods. 🥰

A Ghibli trip is a must! Set your alarm two months before the release date to grab tickets! ⏰ If you're late, tickets will be gone! (Of course, other travel platforms may offer very expensive group packages.)

From downtown Nagoya, take the Higashiyama Prefecture to the Linimo Line. The signs are clear and you can just follow the crowds, no worries.

Arriving at the park, browse the merchandise at Lawson and do some final food and drink shopping.

Enter the park and head straight to the large warehouse to queue. The line was long and took about half an hour.

The warehouse was bigger than I expected, with re-enactments of movie scenes and dishes from the series. 🥘 The exquisite craftsmanship is amazing! The Japanese are truly exceptional in this area.

Go to the cinema early so it's usually pretty crowded. Movies played inside the park aren't available outside.

The souvenir shops are also the most intoxicating! 😂 Get your hands on tons of stuff!

Visiting Ghibli in the summer, the 36-degree heat was unbearable! 🥵 Luckily, the air conditioning in the large warehouse was on full blast, so we spent over three hours inside. We picnicked in the outdoor dining area and ate our own food.

Then we went to Witch Valley for a walk. Most of the attractions require separate tickets, but even if you don't use them, just looking at the scenery is great (though it's just hot! 🔥)

For first-time visitors, unless you're a die-hard fan, the large warehouse is more than enough. Perhaps we'll visit in a warmer season and explore the park's grounds!
