Nagano City's famous Zenkoji Temple and Shiroyama Park

If you plan a half-day trip in Nagano City, my first choice would be to visit the famous Zenko-ji Temple and Shiroyama Park, as they are very close to each other.

They are only about 10 minutes away from Nagano Station by bus or subway.

There are many authentic shops in the town in front of Zenko-ji Temple, selling special snacks and souvenirs. Zenko-ji Temple is a wooden building with fine craftsmanship and historical value, and is definitely worth a visit.

Shiroyama Park is located next to Zenko-ji Temple. It is spacious with a large lawn that is very comfortable to walk on. There are children's 🧒playground🛝 and a small playground in the park.

It is April, and cherry blossoms 🌸 are in full bloom at these two attractions, which is full of surprises.
