[Nagasaki] A place of prayer for peace! Introducing Peace Park

Peace Park in Nagasaki City, Nagasaki Prefecture, was built on the hypocenter of the atomic bombing on August 9, 1945, with a wish for peace.

The park is also home to the Peace Memorial Statue and the Fountain of Peace, making it a popular spot for school trips.

Every year, August 9th is designated as Nagasaki Peace Day, and a peace memorial ceremony is held in front of the Peace Memorial Statue, where a declaration of peace is made to the whole world.
