Glover Garden, Nagasaki

Glover Garden is a tourist attraction representing Nagasaki. In addition to the three Western-style buildings that originally stood in the area, including the former Glover House, six other historical buildings that were scattered around Nagasaki during the Meiji period have been relocated and restored here.
Nagasaki has long developed as an international trading port.

Historical buildings that remained in Nagasaki were relocated to the site of the former residences of British merchants Glover, Ringer, and Alt, who settled in Nagasaki.

Mr. Glover brought shipbuilding and coal mining techniques to Japan.

He was a famous figure in the Meiji period!
