Nagasaki Japan has got many specialties but one of them is the famous castella cake, a type of butter sponge cake that is sweet, has a more eggy taste and a more fluffy texture. Castella cake taste even better with ice cream and one shop has done this dessert/snack well, and it is none other than New York Do. New York do sells castella ice cream cake with flavours like chocolate, strawberry, coffee, green tea etc. The castella cake is like a sandwich and the ice cream is stuffed in the middle - the combination of both is perfect, sweet and creamy with the ice cream slightly melting in the middle. Outside the shop, you can even find a vending machine selling this castella cake ice cream sandwich. How cool!
