I booked my stay at Hotel JAL City Nagasaki, located in Nagasaki Shinchi Chinatown. Visiting Nagasaki City for the first time in seven years, I was thrilled and carefully chose this hotel.
The price is reasonable, and the satisfaction level is high across all aspects. Thanks to the membership benefits introduced during my stay at the Haneda branch earlier this year, I’ve been enjoying double the satisfaction since then.
From Nagasaki Station, you can take the tram to Shinchi Chinatown and then walk about six minutes to reach the hotel. Staying here means you’re in the heart of Nagasaki, from Shinchi Chinatown to Ganko-dori and the downtown area.
The hotel is situated right in the middle of Nagasaki Chinatown. It’s just a one-minute walk from the famous original Nagasaki Champon restaurant I visited before. Upon check-in, membership cardholders are offered a choice of green tea or apple juice as a gift.
I chose the apple juice 🍎. My room was on the 6th floor, offering a partial view of the outside through the building. The hotel has recently completed its room renovations, so everything is clean and refreshed, including the sparkling bathroom. The amenities are from Mikimoto. 😍
The 18-square-meter double room features a queen-size bed in the center, with separate spaces for tea time and a study area. Despite being a standard room, it comes equipped with a Nespresso machine and an air purifier. The air conditioning was already on when I entered, making the room pleasantly cool.
The next morning, I joined breakfast at 6:30 AM. It was held in a Chinese restaurant, offering a variety of Chinese dishes alongside predominantly Japanese-style options, befitting the location.
After breakfast, I took a morning walk, rode the Shinkansen to Omura City, visited Glover Garden, and returned for a cold shower before checking out at 10:30 AM. I then headed to Nagasaki Station. Hotel JAL City Nagasaki is truly a great value for money. Thank you!
