This castle was the residence of Matsuura, the feudal lord of Hirado, and was also known as Kameoka Castle. It was once abandoned due to the castle abolition order, but the castle tower was restored and it was selected as one of the 100 famous castles.
The view of the sea from the hilltop is spectacular!
