Motonosumi Shrine was selected by the American television station CNN as one of the "31 Most Beautiful Places in Japan" in 2015.

The contrast of the 123 red torii gates lined up in front of the blue waters of the Sea of Japan is wonderful, and it is lovely when combined with the greenery of the surrounding plants.

It is one of the most powerful spots in Yamaguchi Prefecture, and many people from both Japan and abroad visit to see the spectacular view.

In addition, at the exit of the approach to the shrine, a particularly large torii gate has been installed on top of it, and it is said that if you throw your offering here and it falls into the offering box, your wish will come true. 🥹✨
