Cherry Blossom Viewing in Okinawa, the Beautiful Seaview Cherry Blossoms at Nago Castle Park

You can enjoy cherry blossoms in late January! In the bay of Nago City in central Okinawa, there is a famous cherry blossom viewing spot called "Nago Castle Park". There are more than 10,000 Kanhizakura trees planted in the park. You can stroll along the approximately 2-kilometer trail and look down at the stunning sea view of Nago Bay and cherry blossoms in the distance.

The Nago Cherry Blossom Festival is held on the last weekend of January every year, with parades, dances, live performances, etc., making the city of Nago lively and bustling.

However, if you want to go to Nago to see the cherry blossoms, it is more convenient to drive yourself. It takes about 1.5 hours to drive from Naba Airport to Nago City. You can stay here for one night and then combine it with a trip to Churaumi Aquarium, Nakijin Castle and Kouri Island.
