On a trip to Aichi, I stopped by Miya Kishimen Jingu Branch.
It is said that Kishimen, a representative Nagoya dish, has been eaten since the Edo period, as recorded in books. Miya Kishimen also has a long history, having been founded in 1923. It was founded at Atsuta Shrine, and the chief priest gave it the name Miya Kishimen, after the character "miya" (miya). The strong seasoning unique to Nagoya and the broth made from carefully selected ingredients create a very fragrant soup. The kamaboko (fish cake) with the character "miya" on it is their trademark.
It was really delicious.
