Nagoya's Sakae was undergoing dramatic change.

I went to Nagoya for the first time in a while!

Meieki (Mei-eki) โ† Nagoya people don't call Nagoya Station "Nagoya Station" but "Meieki"!

Even when I come to Nagoya, I change trains from the Shinkansen at Meieki, so I rarely go to Sakae, but when I got off at Sakae for the first time in a while, the area around the TV tower had changed dramatically!

Apparently the TV tower has finished its role as a radio tower, and now there is a hotel where you can stay. The name has changed too!

The area that used to be a park called Central Park was lined with stylish shops and was bustling.

(I was born and raised in Nagoya, and now I live in Kanto)
