Kusanagi Square at Atsuta Shrine in Nagoya

If you are visiting Atsuta Shrine, you should definitely stop by Kusanagi Square. The sword Ame-no-Murakumo-no-Tsurugi (Ame-no-Murakumo-no-Tsurugi) came to be known as the Kusanagi-no-Shinto Sword and is enshrined as the deity of Atsuta Shrine. In the square named after Kusanagi, you can find a shop selling Nagoya's famous Kishimen noodles, a waterside rest area, and the Kusanagi Museum, a treasure trove of swords (fee required).
