Nagoya | Watanosaburo Memorial Hall, an elegant and refined sukiya-style architecture.

✓ Watanosaburo Memorial Hall

The final residence of Nagoya industrialist Furukawa Watanosaburo, who was once recognized by an American economic magazine as the world's oldest billionaire. The hall features sukiya-style architecture, known for its exquisite and elegant design, making it an ideal place for tea ceremonies. It seamlessly blends traditional Japanese architectural spaces and design, complemented by a garden where visitors can enjoy the changing seasons.

The main building, Ichishuntei, and the annex, Chisokuan, house four unique tea rooms. The garden also includes a small hanging tea room and a tea-washing room, used for hosting guests during tea ceremonies. Both the main gate and the east gate have been designated as National Tangible Cultural Properties.
