Phra That Phanom is considered the birth year pagoda for those born in the year of the monkey and the birth day pagoda for those born on Sunday. According to legend, the creator was Phra Maha Kassapa, one of 500 Arahants, and it was elevated to a private royal temple and its name was changed to Wat Phra That Phanom Woramahawihan. On 11/08/2518 at 19:38, Phra That Phanom collapsed due to its old age and continuous strong winds and rain for several days. People from all over the country donated money and the government rebuilt the pagoda in its original form. According to the information, the top of the pagoda is a golden umbrella weighing 110 kilograms and decorated with beautiful gems.
