Wat Phayap, located in Mueang District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, was established in 1657 (B.E. 2200). It is recognized as a third-class royal temple of the ordinary type, commonly known as the Royal Temple of the Northwest in Korat. It is believed to have been built during the reign of King Narai the Great, coinciding with the founding of Nakhon Ratchasima city. This makes it an ancient temple with significant architectural value from the Ayutthaya period. Despite ongoing renovations, the temple features stunning religious structures and the beautiful Khao Yoi Cave, where visitors can admire the exquisite stalactites. This is a must-visit destination when traveling to Nakhon Ratchasima.
Parking is available at the temple.
Open for visitors from 5:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
