Phanom Wan Stone Castle

Phanom Wan Stone Castle, Nakhon Ratchasima Province
This ancient site was built around the 15th–16th centuries during the Khmer period. It is a sandstone castle built on a laterite base, surrounded by a wall and moat. Within the castle grounds are the main castle, a Brahmin hall, and various other buildings. Although somewhat damaged, it still reflects the exquisite beauty of ancient Khmer art.
