Onuma Quasi-National Park is located at the southern tip of the Oshima Peninsula in Hokkaido and is the only quasi-national park in southern Hokkaido. Formed by volcanic eruptions, the park features three major dammed lakes: Onuma, Konuma, and Junsainuma. The lakes are adorned with as many as 126 small islands, connected by 18 charming bridges, creating a landscape reminiscent of a traditional Japanese garden.
A day trip from Hakodate is highly convenient, making this natural haven a must-visit destination in Hokkaido. Visitors can enjoy boat rides on the lake, offering a European-like experience, and there are small shops nearby where you can purchase souvenirs.
