[Hokkaido] In the silvery white! Onuma Park in winter

Onuma Quasi-National Park is a vast national park located north of Hakodate. It is made up of several large and small lakes and ponds, with Onuma at the center. In the summer, it is a popular summer resort with the beautiful Mt. Komagatake in the background. The photo shows the opposite season, winter.

In winter, Onuma freezes over and turns completely white. There are also tours where you can walk on it on snowshoes. However, there are only a few areas that do not freeze over, and birds such as swans that have flown there gather there.
