One of the best hotels in China

🔵Written in front
I had heard a long time ago that Nanchang was a hotel desert. Apart from the Wushang InterContinental which had not yet opened, there were not many hotels to choose from in Nanchang. After repeated consideration, I chose Xiang🐔 which had a more convenient location.
🔵About Public Area
As Shangri-La, the overall style of the hotel is naturally Chinese luxury style. Whether it is the walls decorated with large landscape paintings or the crystal chandeliers hanging from the high ceiling of the lobby, every detail is in line with all the impressions of luxury hotels in childhood. The drop-off area is not located on the main road facing the Ganjiang River, but is hidden in the internal road behind the building. This not only alleviates the traffic pressure on the main road, but also greatly enhances the guests' sense of privacy. It can be said to be an ingenious design. From the main road to the drop-off area, the green plants and warm lights along the path gave me a feeling similar to the "winding paths leading to secluded places" in Sabah.
🔵About the room
This time we stayed in a river view room, and the hotel helped us reserve a high-rise room in advance. The room is not very large, and there is no separate cloakroom. The hardware is indeed a bit old (the TV definitely cannot be projected). In terms of scenery, you can watch the fountain show at Qiu Shui Square in the room, but due to the long distance, you can't see Tengwang Pavilion clearly in the room. The closer the room is to the elevator, the more direct the river view.
🔵About Service
The service staff are generally nice. There are staff in the drop-off area who actively help to open and close the car doors. The staff at the front desk and lobby lounge are also very enthusiastic. The bookmarks given on the night bed should also be a feature of Shangri-La. The sentences on each bookmark are excerpts from "Lost Horizon" and have strong emotional value.
🔵About catering
During my stay, I had dinner at the Ziyuxuan Restaurant on the third floor of the hotel. Just like the public area, the restaurant is also in Chinese style. The red tablecloth and tableware arrangement reminded me of Ang Lee's "The Wedding Banquet" for some reason. The sesame chicken served in the restaurant tastes pretty good.
🔵About the location
The location of the hotel is a big advantage. It is only across the street from Qiu Shui Square and you can enjoy the musical fountain in ten minutes' walk. The Qiu Shui Square subway station is just downstairs from the hotel, and there are direct subway links to scenic spots such as Tengwang Pavilion and Bayi Square. Overall, the hotel has strong tourism attributes.
🔵Summary
Thanks to its good location and landscape, I personally believe that before the opening of Wushang InterContinental, Nanchang Xiang🐔 will always maintain its position as the "top" hotel in Nanchang.
