The renovation of the Donghuali area in Zumiao began in 2008. With the support and overall planning of the Foshan Municipal and Chancheng District governments, Hong Kong Shui On Land Development Co., Ltd. launched the "Foshan Lingnan Tiandi" project on February 28, 2008. The entire ancient building complex in Zumiao Donghuali has been restored and reused in a "repair as it was" manner, while incorporating modern techniques to transform the area into a comprehensive district integrating culture, tourism, residential, and commercial functions.
