1865: Li Hongzhang's powerful weapon forged with great effort in Nanjing

Nanjing's most famous entrepreneurial park is probably the 1965 Entrepreneurial Park, which is not only a gathering place for various niche studios and art spaces, but also a collection of niche exhibition halls, restaurants, cafes, and art galleries. The entire park is adjacent to the Dabaoen Temple and Zhonghua Gate, forming part of the Qinhuai River scenic belt.
The reason for its name, 1865, is because its predecessor was the Jinling Manufacturing Bureau, which was founded by Li Hongzhang in 1865.
As the leader of the Westernization Movement, Li Hongzhang was always committed to industrial development, and the Jinling Manufacturing Bureau was his Huai Army's arsenal, used to produce various firearms and cannons.
During the period of the Nationalist government, the Jinling Manufacturing Bureau was changed to the Nanjing Arsenal, continuing to produce weapons. After the outbreak of the War of Resistance against Japan, the arsenal was relocated to the rear while still producing weapons for the war effort.
The park still has many old buildings from the Republic of China period, and many old-style weapons have been turned into sculpture works.
There are dense forests here, creating a nostalgic atmosphere, especially suitable for taking photos inside.
The park's terrain is unique, with Majiashan, covered by green forests, lying quietly in the center of the park, surrounded by scattered buildings. The park is lush with green trees and fragrant grass, and its unique geographical features add a sense of hierarchy to the architectural space.
