July in Nanjing means falling into a romantic galaxy of fireflies ✨
After 7 years in Nanjing, I discovered Linggu Temple is actually the hidden champion for firefly viewing! My first visit last year left me speechless with its breathtaking sea of flickering lights - every casual shot became wallpaper-worthy magic.
🌟【Best Viewing Guide】
Ideal period: Early to mid-late July
Prime time: 20:00-22:00 (best after complete darkness)
Hidden gems: Paths near Zhigong Hall at Linggu Temple, woods behind Wuliang Hall (fewer people, more fireflies!)
📸 Photography tips:
1⃣ Must bring tripod! Long exposure captures firefly trails
2⃣ Recommended settings: iso1600-3200|shutter 15-30s|maximum aperture
3⃣ Wear light-colored clothes to attract fireflies (tested & proven)
🙅🏻♀️ Important notes:
❌ Absolutely NO flash
❌ Do NOT catch fireflies
❌ Maintain silence
With recent heatwaves, there are more fireflies than usual - don't miss this summer-exclusive starry river!
