Day 1

Alternatively, visit Zhan Garden to admire the Jiangnan garden landscape, or explore the 1912 Cultural District to experience the blend of Republican style and modern commerce, and enjoy some leisure time.

Nanjing cuisine features duck dishes, such as salted duck and Nanjing pressed duck. Other must-try dishes include Nanjing offal noodles, duck blood vermicelli soup, and Jiming soup dumplings. Nanjing Dapaidang is a highly recommended restaurant.

Most attractions, such as the Nanjing Museum, the Memorial Hall of the Victims in Nanjing Massacre by Japanese Invaders, and the Dr. Sun Yat-sen's Mausoleum, require advance booking through their official WeChat accounts and are mostly closed on Mondays.
Booking tickets for some attractions can be challenging during holidays, so book as early as possible.
