Rainy Nanjing|Experience a golden dream of Jinling in Laomendong’s rain-soaked alleys 🌧️ The blue bricks in the rain are breathtakingly beautiful
On a drizzly weekday morning,
I opened my umbrella and slipped into the alleys of Laomendong.
At the moment raindrops fell along the horse-head walls,
I suddenly understood what "misty rain in Jiangnan" means.

🚇 Transportation tip: Take Metro Line 3 to Wudingmen Station, Exit 2, then an 8-minute walk
🍜 Food Highlights
1. Jiang Youji Potstickers: Juicy beef potstickers! Perfect with a bowl of wontons
2. Xiao Zheng Crispy Biscuits: Scallion oil and preserved mustard greens are must-tries, only 2 yuan each with amazing value
3. Lu’s Plum Blossom Cake: Red bean filling oozes out, eat while hot but be careful not to burn your mouth

1. Entrance of San Tiao Ying Alley: Rainy bluestone path + red lanterns, full of atmosphere
2. Wall opposite Deyun Club: Ink-wash style graffiti wall, perfect for new Chinese-style outfits
3. Second floor of Xianfeng Bookstore: Shoot rainy street scenes through carved windows, very cinematic
💡 Tips to avoid pitfalls
⚠️ Don’t buy bamboo tube milk tea! They’re all mass-produced internet-famous products
⚠️ Few restrooms inside the scenic area; public toilets are available at the metro station exits
⚠️ Stone paths are slippery when wet, wear non-slip shoes
