The double-layer red tile roof and extended eaves can prevent excessive sunlight from causing the house to become hot, and the wooden beams and columns are raised to allow heat to rise and circulate through the patio. The old houses moved from all over Okinawa have now become castle towns, shops, indigo dyeing, leather making and other DIY activity venues, inheriting the glass culture.
