The Wind and Silence of Cape Chinen, a Distant Hill

#OkinawaTravel
Cape Chinen Park is one of the most easily missed, yet most breathtaking, corners of southern Okinawa. A winding path leads to the seaside cliffs, where the wind is strong and refreshing, and the vast views are so breathtaking that you can't help but breathe deeply. The sea and sky merge into one, with only the occasional passing egret and the distant silhouettes of ships.
I sat on the observation deck, watching the tides push against the reefs again and again, my heart slowly calming with the rhythm. This place needs no explanation; there's no clamor of crowds, only a dialogue between nature and time. The beauty of Cape Chinen is a kind of aloofness that needs no justification, and I'm grateful that here, I've learned to live in peace with the wind.
