Enjoying afternoon tea in a prime ocean-view seat is truly delightful! Plus, you can even pet the shop's cat.

After taking photos at Shinhara Beach, you can head to the super popular Hamabe Chaya (tea house) for coffee, just an 8-10 minute walk away.

The Hamabe Chaya has free parking, but spaces are limited. Since parking at Shinhara Beach is charged per entry, to avoid driving there only to find no spaces and having to drive back, consider walking.

The Hamabe Chaya is so popular mainly because it only has 12 window seats facing the sea. The wooden building is simple yet has a trendy, artsy vibe. Sitting there while enjoying coffee and admiring the natural scenery of the sea, beach, and reefs is incredibly relaxing. Therefore, most people wait for the first row seats with a sea view.

We were lucky; we only had to wait about ten minutes to get a seat.

We ordered thick-cut tricolor toast (495 yen), brown sugar chiffon cake (495 yen), and one iced Americano and one hot Americano (both 605 yen). They don't have lattes, but they come with a latte ball and syrup.

The tricolor toast was delicious; the three spreads on top were honey, cream, and strawberry. I spent a few minutes taking pictures before eating it, and it was still crispy and delicious.

The brown sugar chiffon cake was just average; I found it a bit dry and not moist enough. The Americano had a pleasant aftertaste and was quite tasty.
