Experience the Fragrance of Tea and Stunning Views at Songboling Trail!

If you're looking for an easy and scenic trail, the Songboling Trail in Mingjian, Nantou, is a fantastic choice! Known for its tea plantations, you can enjoy the subtle aroma of tea leaves as you walk along the trail, creating a truly relaxing experience.

The highlight of this trail is its breathtaking views! On clear days, you can see the entire Changhua Plain and the Taiwan Strait from the observation decks. Many visitors come here specifically to enjoy the sunset and night views, which are absolutely stunning.

Although the trail is not very long, some sections lack shade, so it's advisable to bring sun protection if you visit during summer. Additionally, weekends can be crowded with tourists and vehicles, so finding parking might take a bit of effort.

🍵 Atmosphere/Facilities:
The Songboling Trail actually has several routes, but the most popular one starts behind the "Shoutian Temple."

This temple is one of Taiwan's most famous Xuantian Shangdi temples, with a vibrant atmosphere and serves as the trail's starting point. You can take a moment to pray, use the restroom, and then begin your hike. The temple's plaza also offers great views, allowing you to enjoy the scenery even before starting the trail.

The trail features several observation platforms at higher points, perfect for taking photos and resting. From these platforms, you can see high-speed trains below, resembling tiny matchbox cars, which is quite fascinating.

The trail is leisurely, with gentle slopes and well-maintained paths, making it ideal for a family outing. You can stroll through the tea plantations and soak in the beautiful surroundings.

🚗 Parking Information:
You can park your car at the "Shoutian Temple" parking lot, which is free and very convenient.

After completing the trail, don't miss the chance to explore the shops in front of Shoutian Temple! There are many vendors selling local agricultural products such as tea leaves, mountain ginger, and pineapples, which make great souvenirs. The location is also close to Nantou City and Jiji, making it a perfect addition to your itinerary.
