Aowanda National Forest Recreation Area was originally inhabited by the Atayal and Seediq tribes. Hydroelectric power construction began during the Japanese era and it became a national forest recreation area in 1994.
Aowanda is located between 1100 and 2600 meters above sea level, with rich ecology and dense forests. There are suspension bridges, waterfalls, and scenic trails. Many tourists visit in autumn.
Due to time constraints, I was unable to visit the suspension bridge this time, but I did visit the "Adjustment Pool" and the "Waterfall Trilogy - Flying Waterfall and Double Waterfall". The three waterfalls were very beautiful, and the mountain road was quiet and comfortable. Next time I must reserve more time to visit.
