I spent a wonderful day enjoying art, nature, and gourmet food on Naoshima, Kagawa Prefecture. My leisurely island trip began with a ferry ride from Uno Port. It was only a 20-minute boat ride, but the moment I arrived, I was enveloped in a different world. 🚢✨

Upon arriving at the port, I rented a bicycle and cycled around the island. Electric-assisted bicycles are highly recommended for the slopes! It's reasonably priced, and the staff are always there to warn you of dangerous spots, so it's a safe and secure place.

For lunch, I enjoyed the fluffy and creamy omurice they're known for at the popular "Cafe Salon Nakaoku." Recharge your energy for your trip with gentle flavors. 🍴

Take a break with "Snacks and Coffee." The iced coffee and simple sweets were delicious and soothing. Enjoying the thoughtful service in the plaza next to the shop is a delight. 💛

For my afternoon snack, I went to "naoshima Gelato." I wanted something refreshing, so I went for the lemon sorbet. 🍋 They have a lot of milk-based gelato!

Afterward, head towards Benesse House and take some photos in a nearby park. 📸 The scenery, where the sea, grassland, sky, and art blend together, is picturesque no matter where you look. There were plenty of statues.

Since I had some time to spare, I stopped by Uno on the way back and enjoyed shaved ice at the popular "Omachido." Their luxurious shaved ice, topped with plenty of fruit, looked and tasted amazing! However, it's a popular shop, so you'll likely have to wait in line. Be careful about how you manage your time!⏳

The number of ferry trips is limited, so plan your sightseeing accordingly!
The return trip can be especially crowded, so you might not be able to find a seat! If you want to be sure to get a seat, arrive at the ferry terminal 30 minutes early and line up.

Even without visiting the museums, the food and scenery alone made for a very satisfying day. Next time, I'd definitely like to stay overnight and enjoy Naoshima at night... It's a wonderful island that makes you feel that way!⛵️✨
