One of the world's largest wooden structures

I haven't been to the Great Buddha of Nara since my elementary school field trip

All I remember is the big Buddha and passing through a narrow hole.

That hand pose of the Great Buddha!

The right hand is called the "Shumuin" mudra, a pose that relieves tension and encourages the other person, and the left hand is called the "Yogan mudra", a very grateful pose that grants wishes

It is believed that if you pass through the hole in the pillar, you will receive the benefit of "no illness or disaster".

Back then it was easy to get through, but now it's definitely impossible 😓
