✓Nara Park

Nara Park is a place where deer gather. It is located in the center of Nara City, along the Nobori Road where the Nara Prefectural Government is located. It covers an area of about 660 hectares and is one of the oldest parks in Japan. There are about 1,200 wild sika deer in the park, which are regarded as messengers of gods. They are not afraid of strangers and interact with tourists.

There are many representative historical attractions around Nara Park, including Todaiji Temple, Kofukuji Temple, Kasuga Taisha Shrine, Nara National Museum, Shosoin, etc., which are all within walking distance. The deer along the way are in groups, which are quite cute. You can attract the Nara deer who love to eat by buying a pack of deer biscuits.
