Nara | A Free Admission Japanese Flower Garden---Yoshikien.

✓ Yoshikien

Located right next to Isuien Garden, Yoshikien is a beautiful garden that is free to enter and meticulously maintained. Visiting in June, you’ll find clusters of blooming hydrangeas adorning the lush greenery, creating a striking visual contrast. The hydrangeas in Yoshikien are primarily shades of blue and indigo, complemented by a few white petals, exuding an elegant and charming vibe.

Unlike Isuien Garden, Yoshikien’s entrance is not wide open; you need to push the door to enter. Although the sign says "free visit," this small gesture seems to act as a barrier, deterring about 90% of people from entering. This makes Yoshikien an incredibly tranquil and relaxing space—highly recommended!
