4. Kagamiike

Open all day/year
Perfect chill spot by the pond—ideal for reflection (and deer selfies).
5. Todai-ji Museum

Hours: Apr–Oct 09:30-17:30; Nov–Mar 09:30-17:00
Deep-dive into relics and Buddhist treasures. Admission ends an hour before closing—plan ahead!
How to get there:
From Nara Station, grab a city bus to the Todaiji area (15 min). Walking is easy once you’re in Nara Park.
Local tip: Bring extra snacks—the free-roaming deer are adorable but notorious snack thieves! Cash is useful for temple entry fees, and visit early for the least crowds.
Bonus: Everything is walkable in Nara Park, so comfy shoes are a must.
