On a sunny summer day, I visited Nara's iconic tourist spot, Todai-ji Temple. Starting with a stroll across the expansive lawns of Nara Park, I enjoyed interacting with the deer before heading to the National Treasure, the Great Buddha Hall.
The breathtaking contrast between the imposing Great Buddha and the surrounding greenery was truly a sight to behold. Afterward, I walked to Kofuku-ji Temple, where I explored the Five-Story Pagoda and the Eastern Golden Hall, immersing myself in Nara's rich Buddhist culture and experiencing a serene moment of peace.
Despite the strong summer sun, the shade of the temple grounds and the gentle breeze made the walk pleasant, showcasing Nara's charm even in the height of summer. With major attractions located within walking distance, it's easy to explore efficiently in just one day. I highly recommend a summer trip to Nara for everyone!
