Toshōdaiji

This ancient Buddhist temple was built in 759 by the Chinese monk Kanjin 🙏 and served as a center for religious study and practice during that era. A highlight is the Kondo Hall 🕍, a beautiful and magnificent 1,200-year-old wooden structure. Inside, sacred Buddha images, including a valuable Kanjin statue, are enshrined. 🪷
