Todaiji Temple in Nara, Japan, was built in the mid-8th century, when Nara was the capital. The main hall, the Great Buddha Hall, is considered one of the largest wooden structures in the world. Its interior houses a bronze Great Buddha statue, approximately 15 meters tall, adding to its impressive scale.

Passing through the Namdaemun Gate and entering the temple grounds, you'll walk through expansive lawns and birch forests, where you'll be greeted by the deer roaming freely within Nara Park. Offering a bag of treats to the deer adds to the enjoyment of your stroll.

Admission is typically around 800 yen, and visiting in the morning allows for a quiet and peaceful experience. Beyond the main hall, there are walking paths leading to Sannenzaka and Ninenzaka, as well as a small garden, allowing for a leisurely stroll.
