The top of the world: Climbing to Everest Base Camp

Before I switched off the switch, I kept wondering where to go to make my three-year wait worthwhile!
Thanks to my friend for bringing up my dream from 10 years ago, I immediately decided to go to Everest Base Camp (EBC)!
There are two EBCs. One is located in Tibet, at an altitude of 5,200 meters, accessible directly by jeep. The other is in Nepal, at an altitude of 5,364 meters, and requires climbing from Lukla. Summit teams also depart from the Nepal side.
Over a decade ago, I had already visited Everest Base Camp in Tibet, but I'd always wanted to reach the Nepal side on my own!
October-November and April-May are the best months for climbing EBC, as temperatures are more comfortable and rainfall is less likely. I set out on April 1st. The temperature in the mountains was around 8 to -18 degrees Celsius ❄️ (it gets colder the higher the altitude, and the temperature swings between day and night are larger), and it was sunny every day ☀️.
Starting April 1, 2023, hiking in Nepal requires a local guide. Contact a local travel agency before departure; they will arrange guides, porters, mountain accommodations, and meals.
