On a winter Sunday morning, a cold wave hit and my son’s swimming class was suspended for a week, so our family of three decided to take a walk in the suburbs of New Taipei City. This is how you raise a son. You can’t let him stay at home all the time playing video games. It’s better for boys to be more active.

The name of that coffee bar is very interesting. It is a special outdoor coffee shop in Pinglin. Pinglin is famous for its tea town, but I never expected that there is such a unique coffee shop hidden here☕️. What is refreshing is that there are no indoor seats at all. You can really drink the boss's hand-brewed coffee and eat the boss's wife's hand-made desserts outdoors🍮. The weather was so cold that the owner put a stove in the middle and placed camping chairs next to it. Guests can burn firewood to keep warm. It really makes people feel the wild fun as soon as they step in.

Even though the air was cold, the firewood was burning brightly, and the faint scent of burning wood filled the entire space with warmth. As usual, I ordered an Italian latte, which was refreshing and fruity, and tasted particularly good with the cool mountain breeze. And my son was happily adding firewood to the fire, he was busy!

Drinking coffee here is not just about enjoying the flavor, it's more like an outdoor experience. We sat around the wood fire, keeping warm, chatting and drinking coffee. This kind of atmosphere makes people completely relaxed, as if time has slowed down. However, as it was getting close to noon and there was a crowd, we felt embarrassed to reserve a seat, so we simply went to Pinglin Old Street for lunch. It was only a 5-minute drive away, so we could arrange our schedule accordingly.

If you like camping, nature, and want a different coffee experience, this outdoor coffee bar in Pinglin is definitely worth a try. With the warmth of the firewood, have a cup of coffee and immerse your body and mind in the tranquility of the mountains and forests. By the way, the boss's dog is very friendly, be careful not to let it eat the cake😁
