When you think of Tamsui, what comes to mind first? The sunset, the old street, A-gei, or the Fisherman's Wharf? Tamsui is not only photogenic and delicious but also hides a super interesting and super tiny 'Miniature Heritage Museum' located inside the century-old building - the Douglas Lapraik & Co.!
This exhibition is not just a display of miniature models but a condensed tour of Tamsui's culture. It features 12 historical sites in Tamsui, turning these familiar yet often overlooked historical buildings into adorable and exquisite miniature models. Each model is paired with different themes such as 'Career, Peace, Wealth, and Education,' making you feel like you're on an adventure in a miniature world. It's really cute. Besides the display, there are also interactive mini-games, making it perfect for parents and children to explore together.
Next time you visit Tamsui, don't forget to take a stroll here. The exhibition is not large, so it won't take long to walk around, but it will give you a deeper understanding of Tamsui's history.
