Tamsui | Purple romance is coming. The Japanese wisteria viewing period at Wisteria Garden is only two weeks.

The cherry blossom season has just passed, and wisteria flowers have already arrived. The Wisteria Garden near Tianyuan Palace is experiencing its best flowering season.
Officially claimed to be the largest wisteria garden in Taiwan, it is divided into the No. 1 Tunshan Park, which covers an area of 1,500 pings and is planted with 400 Japanese wisterias; the No. 2 Shuiyuan Park covers an area of 8,000 pings and is planted with 1,100 Japanese wisterias. The difference between the two is that the No. 1 wisterias are older and have longer flower spikes, while the No. 2 has a wider range and you can also bring a picnic mat for a spring picnic among the flowers.
We visited the Shuiyuan Park near Tianyuan Temple. You can take bus 875 from Tamsui MRT Station to Tianyuan Temple and then walk for 15 minutes to reach the temple.
The park is divided into three areas: the wisteria flower reflection area, the wisteria flower tunnel and the 80-meter-long wisteria flower trellis area. As soon as you enter the park, you can smell the strong fragrance of wisteria flowers.
The park also sells potted plants, ranging from NT$5,000 to NT$100,000, at amazing prices. It is worth mentioning that the flowering period is only about two weeks. The best time to enjoy the flowers announced by the park is from March 24 to April 10. Friends who want to enjoy the flowers during the long holidays should seize the opportunity.
