Im Family Garden! This is a traditional garden from the Qing Dynasty and is said to be one of the best preserved old mansions in Taiwan. It is a mansion and garden built by the Im family, a wealthy merchant in Taiwan in the mid-19th century, and reflects the garden style of southern China at the time. As a side note, this place is currently protected as a nationally designated cultural property.
The admission fee is originally 80 TWD per person, but it is being discounted by half price due to internal construction until August or September 2025. In fact, to be exact, it is the price excluding things that cannot be seen due to the building under construction. It was a rainy day and a weekday morning, so there weren't many people. However, a Chinese guide was giving a tour explaining various places inside. Except for certain places, it was a perfect place to take a quiet walk. As it was a garden of a wealthy person(?) during the Qing Dynasty, the interior was incredibly large and magnificent. I think the rich got richer and the poor got poorer still existed back then.
