This museum is located in the Old Town, a vibrant mix of traditional architecture and pre-modern Taiwan. The museum's building, a century-old wooden structure, was once a government office during the Japanese colonial period before being converted into an art museum.
Upon entering the museum, visitors are greeted by a collection of artworks, including oil paintings, sculptures, prints, and traditional handicrafts, reflecting the life and culture of Taiwanese people in the past. In addition to local art, special exhibitions are also held, featuring works by national and international artists, rotating throughout the year.
