Air Force Sanchong Village

#SeptemberDestinations2025

🏯 Air Force Sanchong Village, located at the end of Zhengyi South Road in Sanchong District, New Taipei City, is the only remaining military-supported dependents' village in northern Taiwan, covering approximately 1.38 hectares. Built in 1954 (the 43rd year of the Republic of China), the village originally housed the families of the Air Force's anti-aircraft artillery unit. Remains of anti-aircraft artillery positions and underground tunnels from the Japanese colonial era remain within the village. It was registered as a historical building in 2006, becoming the first military-supported dependents' village cultural asset in New Taipei City.

After restoration, it is now open as the "New Taipei City Military-supported Dependents' Village Cultural Park." Combining cultural relics exhibitions, military-supported dependents' village culinary experiences, audio-visual tours, and interactive games, it has become a cultural and creative hub that blends historical preservation with tourism, showcasing the unique culture and memories of Taiwanese military-supported dependents' villages.
